He was born in a village near Lake Urmia and currently resides in Tehran. He has published several poetry collections. A selection of two of his poetry books, titled ‘A River Passing Through Paintings,’ has been translated into Armenian by Vahe Armen and published in Tehran. His works have also been translated into Sorani and Kalhor Kurdish by Mariwan Halabjaei and Mohammad Moradi Nasari. His collection of songs, titled ‘Once Upon a Time There Was a Lover,’ has been translated into French by Saeedeh Sadat Seyedkaboli and published by Christophe Chaman’s publishing house in France. He has served as a judge for the Valce Literary Award.
