This book is a collection of articles on the legal status of the social structure of the family from an economic perspective. The economic analysis approach does not consider the relationship between husband and wife and parents and children purely as financial relationships or monetary contracts. Instead, this approach initially critically examines the efficiency of family law regulations and the effectiveness of a judge’s ruling or the interpretation of a lawyer or legal scholar regarding a law or regulation based on an evidentiary method. Then, based on a normative method, it recommends the ideal legal rule. The book is divided into two main sections and addresses the economic consequences of marriage and divorce within the legal framework of Iran. Subsequently, in essays conforming to this format, it examines the various dimensions of the topic from the perspective of economic analysis.
