Based on the United Nations recommendation in 2011 and numerous studies, special importance is now given to the level of “feeling happiness” in countries. This book is written to examine why Iranians have not felt optimal happiness since 1974. The author believes that if the concept of happiness, the ideal city, and the relationship between the ideal and reality are scrutinized, and Iranian perceptions of these concepts are studied through a historical-cultural approach, analyzing major societal issues such as populism, cultural crisis, and restrictions on expression and their impact on the feeling of happiness will shed light on the ambiguous and critical current situation, revealing hidden aspects and obvious neglect.
