Critical Analysis of Translation

Throughout this book, emphasis is placed on the critical aspects of analysis and critique of translation, and consequently on concepts such as ideology and worldview to a great extent. Some mistakenly believe that the analysis of ideology in translation, in the strict sense, is only suitable for media or journalistic text types. The author, on the contrary, insists on the fundamental belief that ideology is inherent to humans and translators are inevitably never completely free from it, whether in simple informational texts, media discourse, or complex literary genres.
