Collected Works of Reza Davari Ardakani (1)

The first three volumes of the series, which will be gradually published, encompass discussions on Islamic philosophy and reflect an attention I have paid to the philosophy of the Islamic period. My focus on this philosophy was to demonstrate that even the most argumentative and demonstrative philosophies are historical and perhaps built and sustained based on that history. If I have written nearly two thousand pages on Islamic philosophy, my intention was not to prove or reject its rulings, but to understand why a philosophy that originated in Greece was renewed with new principles in Khorasan, Basra, and Baghdad, and why places like China, India, Japan, Egypt, and elsewhere in the world did not turn to it. Now, we must think and see what this philosophy can do and whether it has a future or has reached its end.
