Capitalism

Capitalism myths are exciting, inspiring, and of course confusing: competition, unlimited ownership, freedom from the state, justice, and transparency. These are myths whose realization cannot be found in any kind of economic system, not even in capitalism itself, which, on the contrary, is the most rigid intellectual form in escaping these myths. Under such conditions, how the idea that capitalism is the cradle of these myths is instilled is itself one of the clever features of economic thought. This book attempts, through five chapters including: Introduction to the school of capitalism, Fundamentals of the school of capitalism, Individualism in the capitalist system, Examination of property rights dimensions and consequences, Justice and the school of capitalism, to critically examine some of capitalism’s astonishing claims and present some of its aspects in a simple and fluent language for readers who have not necessarily studied economics nor have they been among the thinkers in the history of economic ideas.
