Bazaar of the Virtuous

The book ‘Bazaar of the Virtuous’ written by Arash Sadegh Beigi is published by Negah Publications. This collection consists of 8 short stories, almost all revolving around professions. These are jobs that have rarely been featured in Iranian stories, such as a fabric writer, an elderly bathhouse operator, and so forth. The settings and writing styles of the stories are diverse and memorable. Previously, the stories in this collection have won awards including the First Prize in Bushehr in 2013, Tehran Prize in 2014, Isfahan Literary Prize in 2009, the Iranian City Story Festival in 2008, and the Biennial Literary Contest for Students. Arash Sadegh Beigi was born in 1982, holds a master’s degree in Dramatic Literature from Tehran University of Arts, and ‘Bazaar of the Virtuous’ is his first published work. This story collection includes eight short and independent stories, which have thematic connections with one another.
