Badsar

Badsar, the second novel by Naser Nakharzi Moghadam, is a passionate and concerned narrative about contemporary humans in a neglected corner of a vast land that was once the cradle of lasting tales and myths in Iranian history. The experiences of Mahgol, the young woman in the novel, have repeatedly happened to women in today’s Iranian society and have been hidden behind prejudice. This is where the importance of “Badsar” lies. A young girl marries a middle-aged man. The man suffers from a problem formed in his childhood mindset. Ardavan struggles to connect with Mahgol and sometimes doubts himself, which throws him into bitter thoughts. Apart from this love story, there is also Malek, who loves Mahgol and by accident is separated from his beloved. Other individuals also leave destructive impacts on this family. The short chapters and smooth prose intensify these tensions, making the novel more engaging. Nakharzi Moghadam is the winner of the Book of the Year award in Sistan and Baluchistan province and has been recognized in the national short story festival in the Zahedan region.
