Avicenna

The book ‘Avicenna’ by Mohammad Dehghani has been published by Ney Publishing. Avicenna is the main subject of this book. Despite spending much of his relatively short life traveling or amidst political conflicts and turmoil, Avicenna seemed to have found a new life after his death. Soon, he made his way into European capitals and universities, and by the early 13th century, a Latin school named after him emerged. Eminent figures like Roger Bacon and Albertus Magnus paid special attention to Avicenna’s works. Additionally, scholars such as Guillaume Durand and Thomas Aquinas, fearing Avicenna’s philosophical influence among European Christians, felt compelled to oppose him and critique his views.
