Algebra Teacher

The position of women in the midst and throughout the constructive and sustaining events of the Islamic Revolution, as well as in creating concepts, structures, institutions, and also in consolidating values and continuing revolutionary actions, is undeniable; however, in the event-focused, fame-driven, and stereotypical historiography, it is often left as blank spaces between the lines or sometimes to narrow glimpses that the men of the revolution have opened to the world of revolutionary women and the support behind the revolution in their narratives. The book “Algebra Teacher” is the memoir of Mrs. Sedigheh Jafari Nik, one of the activists of the literacy movement in the 1980s.
