According to the Women of Troy

The book “According to the Women of Troy,” written by Mohammad Rezaei Rad and Naghmeh Samini, is published by Bidgol Publishing. In this dramatic work, the authors strive to present a fresh narrative of a tragic world. At the end of the play, Hecuba howls in a wailing voice: “Become dogs, women. You too, become dogs like me. Let all this suffering and all this anger tear your human skin and reveal your animal body. Let only the animal within remain from all the cruelty that has nested in our soul. Let the memory of this burned city and its ashes remain alive forever within our howling. Let us be the plague and sing the victory of this defeat with our howling and report the history of this victory with our howls.” In this way, Hecuba reveals the ultimate abyss of cruelty to us, a cruelty where the boundary between oppressed and oppressor vanishes; an abyss in which being human declines and animals emerge. However, the history of cruelty can only be reported through this language of howling.
