A Window to the Sun

The book “A Window to the Sun” by Abbas Keymanesh is published by Soore Mehr Publications. “A Window to the Sun” is a revision of the published poems of Moshfegh Kashani, compiled in a book of the same name. The poems in this book are written in a language free of complexity, with clear and understandable expression. In these poems, Moshfegh sincerely and intimately whispers to the unique deity and seeks forgiveness for the mistakes he has made. Moshfegh’s poetry focuses on the status of the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them). Some of his poems are written in honor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). “Maulud Kaabe” is also the name of a poem describing the Master of the Pious, Ali (peace be upon him). Using metaphorical and allegorical expressions, Moshfegh also portrays the incident of Karbala, and the lives of Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her), Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), the third Shia Imam Abu Abdullah al-Hussain, Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him), and other Imams are addressed in topics such as Eid al-Ghadir, the martyrdom of Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her), the birth of Ali (peace be upon him), the Prophet’s mission, and more. The poet does not neglect to address recent century events such as the Afghanistan war, Bosnia, and Palestine. Mahmoud Shahrokhi (Jazbeh) has written a foreword entitled “The Awake State” for this book.
