This book is an introduction to the poetry of “Tandorkia,” who claimed to have invented another form of new poetry. However, throughout the history of modern Persian poetry, the significance of Tandorkia’s poetry—the avant-garde contemporary poet alongside “Nima”—has often been overlooked, and discussions about his work and poetry have had little place in contemporary literary history books. This book attempts, first of all, to provide a report on Tandorkia’s work and poetry and to examine the possibilities of his “Shahin” poems, followed by a selection of his poems.
