Analysis of the Film Lola Runs

The non-divine miracle, the repeatability of events by human will, and human effort fascinated by destiny to interfere with their own fate are the philosophical propositions of Lola Runs. Also, tragedy, a concept that in the view of the Greek polytheistic man meant the futile struggle of humans against the fate of the ruthless lord of Olympus, is embedded in this film. The modern man, within the postmodern space of the film, tries to overcome his fate but fails. This meaning, concurrent with the final years of the second millennium, reflects the complex notion of alienation and loneliness of Western man and his fear of the future.
