Seyed Ali Al Davood
Seyed Ali Al Davood was born in Khur, Isfahan province, into a family deeply rooted in literary tradition. His lineage connects him to notable poets and writers of the region, including his uncle Habib Yaghmaei and his ancestor Asadollah Montakhab al-Sadat Yaghmaei, linking him to the celebrated Qajar-era poet Yaghma Jandaghi. Educated in his hometown and later in Isfahan and Tehran, Al Davood’s academic journey led him from law to sociology and immersed him in Tehran’s vibrant cultural and literary circles. His early involvement with the Yaghma magazine and the Iran Cultural Foundation, under the mentorship of prominent intellectuals, reflects a lifelong dedication to Persian literature and culture.
