Parviz Doaei

Parviz Doaei is an Iranian film critic, writer, and translator renowned for his profound contributions to cinema literature and criticism. A graduate in English from the University of Tehran, his mastery of the language enabled him to translate numerous cinematic articles and film dialogues for dubbing. He collaborated with a variety of film magazines, gaining recognition as a thoughtful and influential critic. As one of the founders of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults alongside notable contemporaries, he played a key role in shaping Iranian cultural and cinematic discourse. Doaei’s works evoke a nostalgic tone rooted in childhood memories and a deep connection with cinema. Now residing in Prague, he continues to enrich cinema studies with both his original writings and translations, blending literary finesse with cinematic insight.
