Mohsen Taher Nokandeh

Mohsen Taher Nokandeh is a translator, poet, critic, and fiction writer, as well as a retired professor of Italian literature at the University of Tehran. He has served as editor-in-chief of several literary magazines, including Bidar published in Cologne. Passionate about poetry since his high school years, his works have occasionally appeared in notable literary journals such as Khosheh and Karnameh. Nokandeh has translated important works from Spanish, Italian, and English, including Borges’s “The Aleph,” Alexander Baricco’s “Silk,” and other significant Italian literary pieces. He is also the author of the avant-garde literary series “This Issue is Delayed,” published in seven volumes, and has written books on the artistic sketches of Iranian poets Fereydoun Jenab and Sohrab Sepehri.
