Mohammad Ali Hibleh Roudi

Mohammad Ali (Mohammad) Hibleh Roudi was a Persian writer and literary figure of the 11th century (Safavid era), known for his contributions to the study of proverbs and allegories. Originating from Hibleh Roud, a district in Firuzkuh, Mazandaran, he lived in Hyderabad Deccan, India. Among his notable works are two books focusing on Persian proverbs, including the well-regarded ‘Jame’ al-Tamsil,’ a collection of allegories and tales shaped into proverbs. This book gained substantial popularity in the 13th century, with numerous editions including a lithographic print in 1269 by Mohammad Baqer son of Mohammad Hasan Khansari.
