Mirza Hossein Divan Beigi

Mirza Hossein Divan Beigi was the son of Mirza Reza Ali, a distinguished figure from the Kurdish tribes of Kurdistan. His father was a respected and influential official during the reign of Naser al-Din Shah, serving with honor in Kurdistan, particularly in Kermanshah, Sanandaj, and Hawraman. Mirza Hossein moved to Tehran after his father’s death, where he remained but never quite reached the eminent stature of his predecessor. Throughout his life, he closely associated with notable figures and served within the court, accompanying key officials and even the Shah on certain occasions. His memoirs offer a vivid portrayal of his father’s legacy and the world they inhabited.
