Khaghani Sharvani

Afzal al-Din Badil ibn Ali Khaghani Sharvani, known by his pen name Khaghani, is considered one of the most renowned Persian poets and the greatest qasida (ode) composer in the history of Persian literature. Celebrated for his eloquence and profound style, he is also known by the title ‘Hassan al-Ajam.’ His resting place is in the city of Tabriz, Iran.
