Asadollah Shabani

Asadollah Shabani is a distinguished Iranian writer and poet celebrated for his contributions to children’s and young adult literature after the revolution. He has been an expert at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults and holds a prestigious artistic certificate awarded by the presidency during Hassan Rouhani’s era. Shabani has also served on the Children’s Book Council and contributed to the curriculum writing office. He is recognized as part of the influential circle of poets associated with Keyhan-e Bacheha, a group including notable figures such as Sirous Tahbaz, Ahmadreza Ahmadi, Jafar Ebrahimi, Mahmoud Moshref Tehrani, Mostafa Rahmandoust, and Naser Keshavarz. His most famous poem, “Beautiful Beautiful Beauty, O Iran,” featured in the first-grade schoolbook, has inspired numerous musical adaptations. His works have been published by several prominent publishers, including the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, Madreseh, Amir Kabir, Ofogh, and his own publishing house, Toka.
