Akram Pedramnia

Akram Pedramnia was born on the edge of the Kashan desert into a hardworking and resilient family. Raised by a mother whose stories never ended and a father who adorned every word with verses from Hafez, she spent her childhood and part of her youth amidst the desert’s fringe. From an early age, she held a deep love for reading and writing, penning her first novella at nine, which earned her an award for best story from the Minister of Education. Despite excelling academically, her dissenting views initially barred her from university admission. Ultimately, she pursued English literature and medicine in Tehran before moving to Canada with her family to continue her research and writing. Her work, spanning literary, social, and political themes, has been featured in publications in Canada and Iran. Today, alongside her clinical and immunological research, she remains passionately engaged in writing and translation.
