Akbar Khalili

Akbar Khalili was born in Tehran and pursued literary studies through high school. During the Sacred Defense, he served as a war correspondent and remains an active member of the Muslim Journalists Association. Besides his role as the literary editor of the Islamic Republic newspaper, he has collaborated with prominent publications such as Kayhan and Javan. His works, including the novel ‘Cherry Tree Branches,’ have been honored by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and his short story ‘Imam Came to Me’ received the prestigious Mehr Award for Best Short Story.
