Abutarab Khosravi

Abutarab Khosravi was born in Fasa and spent his youth moving across various Iranian cities due to his father’s military career. He studied at a high school in Isfahan, where he was a student of the renowned Iranian writer Houshang Golshiri. Holding a degree in elementary education, Khosravi dedicated many years of his life to teaching children with intellectual disabilities in Shiraz, where he now lives in retirement. His writings are deeply distinctive, marked by occasional surreal themes and enriched by his mastery of classical Persian literature. Khosravi’s works blend a unique language influenced by archaic and sacred texts, intertextual dialogue, and postmodern narrative features. His stories evoke a dreamlike, mythical atmosphere where time fractures, inviting readers into a meditative space to contemplate existence, death, love, and humanity through continuous transformation.
