Abul-Qasim Abdul Karim bin Hawazen Qushayri
Abdul Karim bin Hawazen Qushayri was a prominent Sufi, philosopher, and Arab-Iranian Qur’an exegete of the fifth Islamic century. Known as one of the leading Muslim philosophers of his time, he was deeply versed in Hadith, theology, jurisprudence, and Quranic interpretation. His most celebrated work, al-Risalah al-Qushayriyah, remains a foundational text in Sufi studies. Living during the era of the Abbasid Caliphate and the Ghaznavid rulers in Iran, Qushayri was a contemporary of the mystic Abu Said Abul-Khair and carried the spiritual lineage of a distinguished Arab family settled in Nishapur.
