Maqamat of Jami

One of the most important and comprehensive Maqamat that addresses the biography, thoughts, poems, works of Jami, and the events of his era. It truly uses Jami’s condition as a pretext to shed light on aspects of the political, cultural, social, economic, scientific, literary, and urban history of Herat and some other cities of Khorasan. This Maqamat is by Abdul Waseh Nezami Bakhteari. From the perspective of the history of mysticism, it can be confidently said that these Maqamat are based on points that cannot be found in any writings of the 8th and 9th Islamic centuries. These points are very useful and beneficial for research on the history of mysticism and the ideas of the Khanqah tradition in Khorasan and Iran during those two centuries.
