Iraj Amini

Iraj Amini is an Iranian writer and diplomat, the son of Dr. Ali Amini. After completing his early education in Tehran, he continued his secondary studies in Switzerland. He studied theater briefly in Paris and then moved to the United States, where he earned a degree in political science. Returning to Iran, he pursued social sciences at the University of Tehran, obtaining a master’s degree. He also holds a diploma in international relations from Oxford University. Amini joined the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as the second secretary at the Iranian embassy in London. He was appointed ambassador to Tunisia before the Islamic Revolution. Now residing in Paris, his works include a political biography of Ali Amini titled “On the Brink of Crisis” as well as two books originally written in French and translated into Persian: “Napoleon and Iran” and “The Koh-i-Noor Diamond.” He has also translated Richard Robinson’s “The First Turkish Republic.”
